Workout Wednesday: Time Crunch Pushup Circuit
Sometimes, like in the Bon Jovi song, when the "world gets in our face," we have to say, "Have a nice day!" Just because we're having a challenge doesn't mean we can't take some time to have a nice workout day and fit some muscle toning in. Health first.
It's easy to get carried away by life and let your workout slip. When it's my "upper body day" and I am pressed for time, I squeeze in several sets of pushups - like this. You can do standard, modified (on your knees), or use the Perfect Pushup (or similar). The trick is to do each set until you can't push away anymore, take a brief rest, do the next set, brief rest, third set, then walk away and come back later in the day for more, then later in the day for more.
Really, how long did that take you? Hmmm? And trust me - you WILL see results with this. Just keep going. You don't have to spend an hour at the gym. Fit in what you can.
